It’s a double-header of major league music and longball laughs with the Broadway smash…
Enjoy a grand slam score including the classic “You’ve Gotta Have Heart,” performed by a powerhouse cast of singers and dancers, all backed by a sparkling 20-piece live orchestra.
Damn Yankees is the story of Joe Boyd, a devoted fan of the hapless Washington Senators. When Joe vows to sell his soul to help his team beat the dreaded Yankees, up pops the devil, in the guise of Mr. Applegate, transforming Joe into a 22-year-old baseball phenom to lead the Senators to the World Series.
A couple of curve balls include temptress Lola (“Whatever Lola Wants”), as well as nosy reporter Gloria Thorpe, wondering why no one knows of Joe’s mysterious past.
In 2018, New York guest artist Annabella Joy lit up the stage as Ado Annie in Oklahoma!; now she’s back as Gloria to sing the rousing “Shoeless Joe from Hannibal, Mo.”
This year, two additional stellar guest artists join the cast-
Daniel Moore from N.Y.C. in the role of Charlie, and
Connor Berkompas from L.A. in the lead role of Joe Hardy.
Root, root, root for the home team when this All-Star Musical Comedy hits a home run on The Ellen Stage.
