Conserving the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem w/ Dr. Clayton Marlow

As part of the Montana Institute on Ecosystems’ Distinguished Lecturer Series, Dr. Clayton Marlow will present the talk “It Isn’t Just Climate Change: Conserving the Grass and Shrublands of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem” at 7 p.m. on Monday, October 22 in the Procrastinator Theater (MSU SUB). Light refreshments will be served prior to the talk, which is free and open to the public.
Dr. Clayton Marlow is a Professor in the Department of Animal & Range Sciences at MSU. Dr. Marlow’s research interests are focused on the enumeration and description of the cumulative effect of grazing, wildfire suppression and habitat preservation on the physical and biological processes that create and sustain lotic riparian ecosystems. Dr. Marlow received an M.S. in Forest & Range Management from Washington State University and a Ph.D. in Range Management from the University of Wyoming. He currently serves as the Vice President for the Society for Range Management, and in the past has served on the Board of Directors for the Society for Range Management and Northwest Science Association.
