Bridger Creek Boys
November 15, 2018 @ 7:00pm
An event every week that begins at 7:00pm on Thursday, repeating until December 27, 2018
Local bluegrass band the Bridger Creek Boys play every Thursday night from 7-9 p.m.
Playing a mix of originals and covers, the band draws inspiration from traditional artists such as Doc Boggs and Bill Monroe, as well as more contemporary artists like the Grateful Dead, Steve Earle, and The Band. With somewhere between 1,300 and 1,400 shows under their belt, the group’s performances vary from dance parties to more artistic shows.“We go where people want to go with the music,” said Matt Broughton, who plays fiddle and mandolin. Broughton also owns 3 Fiddles Farm, which uses sustainable practices and supplies RTP with organic produce, bringing the night full circle.
Joining Broughton in the band are Jim Dungan on guitar, Scott Stebbins on bass, and Andrew Schauer of the recently defunct Flatt Cheddar on banjo. Founded 11 years ago, The Bridger Creek Boys straddle the line between traditional bluegrass and progressive, Rocky Mountain newgrass.
