DESCRIPTION:04/18/2025  9:00 pm – Filler \nLivingston-based Benson’s Landing String Band is proud to play the Filling Station in Bozeman on Friday\, April 18. Music starts at 9:00 pm. \nExpect a good time. We’ll be playing a sweet mix of country\, bluegrass\, Americana\, and folk\, stuff you can dance and sing to. Some of it swings\, some of it swoons\, and some of it smokes! \nWe love where we live and play. Benson’s Landing was the first building in the Livingston\, MT area\, a trading post built by Amos Benson that was frequented by Indians\, trappers\, soldiers\, and settlers. The history books say that whiskey flowed and the sounds of fiddle music could be heard deep into the night. \nA few pilings on the banks of the Yellowstone River are all that remain of the ferry crossing and trading post. But the music goes on. Today\, Benson’s Landing String Band gathers to practice very near the site of the old trading post\, and we share with each other and the community the music that binds us together. \nWe can’t wait to play the Filler\, another iconic venue in the history of great Montana gathering places! \n
