Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony
May 21 @ 7:30pm
THE FINAL CLASSICAL SERIES CONCERT OF THE 2021/22 SEASON!
https://www.bozemansymphony.org/beethovensninthsymphony.html
Classical music buff or not, everyone knows one of the most revered composers of all time: Beethoven, and his timeless Ninth Symphony. Join the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra and Symphonic Choir for the final Classical Series concert of the season, for our performances of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony on May 21 and 22, 2022. Music Director Norman Huynh knew this was the perfect close to a magical season of classical music, as it will leave the audience full of joy and yearning for more.
“This is one of the greatest pieces of music ever written,” said Huynh. “Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony is a spectacle that everyone should experience at least once in their lives.” Not only was this piece the longest and most complex symphony composed to date, but Beethoven was almost completely deaf when he wrote it. He was also the first major composer to include a chorus and vocal soloists in a symphony, which you will hear in the most recognizable final movement, “Ode to Joy.”
You won’t want to miss the final classical concert this season on May 21 & 22, 2022. Purchase tickets for our Saturday evening or Sunday matinee performances by clicking the links below.
