If you ask Tobias Livingston if he believes in midlife crises, he’d answer ‘Comedy is my corvette,’ and has been using that sarcastic one-liner wit to entertain audiences for nearly a decade as a comedian, radio personality, and humorous host. He’s performed in comedy clubs across the country, including Comedy Works & Improv in Denver, Flapper’s in LA, Joker’s in Richland, Liquid Laughs in Boise, and the comedy Parlor in Tulsa, to name a few.
Derrick Rush is a regular at Comedy Works, been a finalist in the Comedy Works New Faces Contests multiple years running, and performs around the country. A few notable names he’s opened for are Joey Diaz, Dave Chapelle and Dana Gould.
Enjoy A Night of Comedy with Eddie Ifft on Friday, April 12th. Also featuring the talents of Jeffrey Strock, Danielle Rovira, Garrison Choitz and Zachary Martinez, the evening of laughs will begin at 9pm. Tickets to this 18+ show are $15. Doors at 8pm.
Eddie Ifft has been called one of the most underrated comics in America by The Onion and has proudly told jokes around the world to sold-out crowds in over a dozen countries. He’s co-hosted one of the most successful podcasts in the comedy world, “Talkin’ Sh*t,” and recently launched another called “The Binge Show.” Ifft has also released his own special for Comedy Central and made numerous TV appearances on shows such as Showtime’s The Green Room with Paul Provenza and Tommy Chong presents Comedy at 420, E!’s Chelsea Lately, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, BET’s ComicView, VH1’s Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and Comics Unleashed.
The Rialto will host a Record Store Day After Party in the Burn Box on Saturday, April 13th at 8pm. Gather the records you purchased from Cactus Records during their annual celebration and the Rialto will play them over the state of the art system. Looking to Saturday, April 20th, Cole & the Thornes return with an In Walks Bud-supported concert at 8:30pm. Tickets to this 18+ show are $12. Doors at 7:30pm.
Mountain reggae and gypsy-infused soul band Cole & the Thornes began with an infectious restlessness and a heart engraved with longing adventure. The band released its debut, Map Maker, last spring. The album is a collection of songs filled with funky grooves, sultry vocals, and empowering lyrics that capture the true meaning of being in the now.
The Thornes have performed throughout the state, playing with popular reggae bands HIRIE, Sol Seed, and TreeHouse. They’ve shut down the streets for Music on Main, jammed out the Brew Fest in Big Sky, and have performed at various music festivals including Butte’s Original Festival, Silver Cloud Campout, Harvest Fusion, Groovin’ On, and SLAM. The Thornes are front woman Cole Thorne (ukulele), Jordan Rodenbiker (bass), Andy Gavin (drums), Aaron Banfield (jazz guitar), Daniel Wood (pocket trumpet), and Matt Sloan (saxophone).
