At the BoZeman Public Library at Noon
This is the second year of the seed exchange. At the exchange we expect to have around 100 participants (35 last year, hopefully 200 to 400 next year!). We will have special events for kids, including a seed-starting activity (where each child plants some seeds and takes them home), goat and lamb petting, rabbit handling demonstration. We will also have some events for adults including seed-saving techniques, drip tape irrigation, and bee-keeping. Not many participants will bring their own saved seeds. (5 to 10 did last year, perhaps 20 this year, hopefully 50 next year). So, we rely on donations of seed. We hope to give away around 1000 seed packets this year. In future years we hope to rely less on donations of packaged seeds and more on exchanging saved-seeds.
The Seed Exchange will be co-sponsored by Youth Imperative, Black Robin, the Bozeman Public Library, and Rocky Mountain Gardening Magazine.
