It’s back! Pond Skim 2017 returns to Big Sky on Saturday, April 15th at 2pm on the Ambush Headwall.
This locally famous end-of-season event allows participants to ski over ponds of water while enthusiastic onlookers cheer on costume-clad riders! Registration takes place at 10am in front of Basecamp, located in the Big Sky Resort Plaza. Remember, the only thing better than watching people skim across this homemade pond is being one of those skimmers! Discounted lodging rates are available during many of these events. Call Big Sky Central Reservations (800) 548-4486 and mention the event name for further rate details. Sadly, the ski and snowboard season must end. Big Sky Resort’s Winter Closing Day is set for Sunday, April 16th, weather permitting. Established in 1973, Big Sky Resort is the “Biggest Skiing in America” with 5,800 acres offering an average of two acres per skier and 4,350 vertical drop.
