An Evening at the Story Mansion with Tim May & Friends will be held Saturday, November 21st, 2015. Two events will highlight the festivities, beginning with an “Ethnic Influences on American Music” presentation by Grammy-nominated guitarist Tim May, local guitarist Mike Gurzi, and Montana Fiddle Champ, Nancy Padilla from 5-6pm. Tim will present how our music has evolved by demonstrating several styles that have influenced American music over the years. A Concert with Tim May & friends, Mike Gurzi, and Montana Manouche will immediately follow the presentation from 6:30-8:30pm. Tim May is a Grammy–nominated guitarist and 2012 Nashville Reader’s Poll Multi-Instrumentalist of the year. Tim has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry with Mike Snider and toured with Bluegrass artists Patty Loveless and John Cowan.
He is a Nashville recording artist, producer and educator. This will be an evening a acoustic flatpicking, bluegrass and Americana Music that you won’t want to miss! Guest artist Mike Gurzi is also set to appear. Mike is a local guitarist, host of the weekly Story Mansion String Jam, and a member of Montana’s own Montana Manouche–a local Gypsy Jazz Ensemble, which will open the concert and later join Tim for a closing set.
