Montana State University has cancelled tonight’s Bobcat Brewfest and two other outdoor homecoming events that were to be held tonight as a result of bad weather. Homecoming organizers said all other MSU Homecoming events will go on as planned, including tonight’s pep rally and Saturday’s MSU Homecoming parade.
Amy Kanuch, MSU’s community relations specialist. said that in addition to the Brewfest, which had been scheduled to be held in downtown Bozeman, the banner decorating contest and outdoor movie scheduled for 5-11 p.m. tonight in the Romney Oval was also cancelled, as was the lighting of the “M” on Mount Baldy, scheduled for 7:30 tonight.
Kanuch said the annual MSU Homecoming pep rally will be held as scheduled at 6 p.m. tonight at the intersection of Willson and Main, as will the annual MSU Homecoming parade, which begins at 10 a.m. Saturday on Bozeman’s Main Street.
“MSU students, alumni and friends are a hardy bunch, and so all other MSU Homecoming events will be held, rain or shine,” Kanuch said.
